Grimdark Painting

So, just a few updates. I am rounding out the Tactical Squads still - they are mostly done. Just black/metal/gold on most, with some eyes to do. Then, I go in and put on decals followed by weathering. Not too bad. The Titan got a coat of grime today and will soon have the remainder of its gold trim finished. The inside is grimed and I have started some detailing. Going to dust up the legs and it should be done soon. My original projection fell short due to the holidays - but it should be done this week.

So, the stripes on the back turned out pretty great, I think. Going to throw more white onto the knee-guards and then start the gold, interior, and weapons.

Here they are! Now, time to wrap up those Ultramarines, finish the Titan, and get my friend's Blood Angels going.

Brother-Captain Stern and a squad of Grey Knight Terminators. This is for the "War for Tots" Charity Auction and Tournament I am hosting at Hit Point Hobbies. This squad, along with five PAGKs, will be up for auction with the proceeds going to Toys for Tots. Those should be done tomorrow or Wednesday at the latest - so keep an eye out.

So, here are some shots of the Titan as of yesterday. Currently, it is being airbrushed with Boltgun Metal in several areas, as per the Legio Crucius images from IA10. Going to lay in the solid black and black/white stripe areas tomorrow and Thursday, as well as put down the first coats needed to do gold edging.

Now that the magnet fiasco is finished, I can finally get to painting!

So, I finally got in the magnets to get the Titan arms finished. Also, managed to prime the main body. Going to secure the magnet to the joint and anchor magnets into the weapon arms tonight or tomorrow. It going to be a chore, only because its such an unforgiving model - you don't want to screw up a Titan! 

Also, I am working on some Grey Knights for a Charity Auction (and Tournament) coming up in December. The 2nd Annual "War for Tots" - they were really just a fun excuse to paint these amazing models and I can't pass on such a good cause.
