So, here are some shots of the Ravenwing models I have finished. I did these mostly so that I could show what they would be looking like when completed. The rest are still going through the assembly line. On the Bloodthirster front, the wings are done! Finally! Now, I can finish off the body skin and touch up the metal, glue together, and ship. That thing is enormous!
In other news, I am getting the Imperial Armor Masterclass book (finally) and will be applying it to further commissions, if able. Also, shopping around for an Iwata, which will speed up my services by a ton. Dark Eldar commission has been reserved for the start of next year (when the Ravenwing ship). This should be a fun project, as it isn't Marines! Also, another Marine commission might be up - Flesh Tearers - though the cost might scare away my client! It exceeds his budget by $150. I try to be fair, though. My prices are very, very competitive. Also, posted the Ulthwé Vyper for sale! Also, if you listen to 11th Company, expect me to make an announcement soon about some upcoming tournaments for Hit Point Hobbies. This will be my second interview with them and I am excited. Working on stuff. I always do bases first, if i can. That way, when I finish a model, I can glue it to a base and set it aside. So, I have done up all 30 Biker bases, Sammael's base, and the Speeder bases to an ruined warzone look, with a few burst pipes and rusted sheets, chains, and fences. Should be a nice feel for the army. Here is the Bloodthirster base. Might darken it up a bit, though. The wings are on layer four or five in these shots, though I am far from done. Those are taking up most of my time, as the intricate texture makes for slow, methodical painting. They are also awkward to handle when painting, so I have had a hell of a time. Hopefully, I will be rounding him out in the next month or so.
